down to the top 100 in a 1000 player MTTi'm short stacked, with about 4500. the blinds are 200/400 and i'm about middle position. blinds will soon be 400/800UTG raises double the blind, you look at see A,9 suited. what to do??

If I'm sure that I'll be paying 400/800 when the blinds hit me, then I'll probably push. My M would be below 4 at that point. It's close though as A9s is most likely behind and could easily be dominated.

i vote fold. even w/your low M, I'd rather either be first in the pot or wait for a better holding. if the pot were unopened, I wouldn't fault you for pushing here.

Huge lack of info here.What is the payout structure. It may not matter for how YOU play, but it does affect some people, including UTG. How many chips does UTG have?What are the stack sizes of the players yet to act?What is YOUR perceived table image at that point?Need more info!!!
