Lets face it the resemblence of most commentators to actual poker is purely coincidental. The one thing that was great was the half-hour they did one time featuring Daniel, Wanda the Wicked Witch, and Cry Baby. All three made cogent remarks about the hands and the how and why. Must not have drawn good numbers because, sadly, it hasn't been repeated. While we can make fun of the Mike and Vince show, they look great compared to the wiseacres on ESPN. They try to make everyone seem the fool. And are willing to manufacture a hand for the drama. Poker reality shows need The Donald...YOU ARE FIRED!!!

Yeah, the sad fact is that most of the poker commentary on the various programs just isn't that good. But at the same time, it doesn't really need to be, because the hole card cams give most people who know anything about the game all they need to know about why the players are doing what they are doing, etc. Sometimes there is a really insightful comment that comes out, but mostly its just babble with as much poker "slang" thrown in there as can be.

I saw one episode at Foxwoods when Phil Ivey was playing, where Sexton kept saying he has " the heart of a lion, he's not afraid to lay for all his money...." I think the first time he said this I nearly fell off my chair because Ivey made the nut straight on the river and pushed it all in after it had been checked around on the flop and turn. and I was wondering who could possibly call him All-In and why he didn't bet less.I was not pleased with the commentary
