best place for stud

Im thinking of making the switch away from hold'em to stud for a while and was wondering where the best 1/2 and 2/4 games are as far as ante structure as well as players. I have played stud on many sites but not for extended periods of time, any suggestions would help.

I play at Pokerstars (.50/1 and a little 1/2, probably will move up next month) and the ante structure is very good (.05 ante, .25 bring-in, very reasonable) and the players are not that good. There are some regular players who know what they are doing (such as me) but they tend to play a little higher usually.

Prima is very soft and has the same ante structure as pstars. Pacific is very soft as well, and i believe they have a good ante structure as well...assuming you want a small ante structure.You can't multi table at pacific, but anyone who multi tables stud and isn't a Good Will Hunting type genius is insane.GL.

Pokerroom (hollywood, etc) is a stud GOLD mine!I played $ 4 / 8 for about an hour last night (way above my bankroll) and just played really tight.Took $130 in an hour, I might have played 6 or 8 pots, and won 5 of em. People calling $8 bet on 7th with the same rolled up pair they have been pushing all hand long--and that's IT.

Paradise (or was it pacific...can't remember) has the cheapest antee structure, followed by Absolute I believe.The problem with Absolute is that it is very hard to get a game going (not enough Stud players). When it does get going though, the players are fairly weak, and like to chase.

What do you guys think of the structure on the .50/1 dollar games on party poker. I believe the ante is pretty high at .25, but it seems like the high antes make a lot of action/big pots. What do people like about the cheap ante structures?

I personally hate the ante structure on party...It boils down to the type of game you play. If you are a loose player who likes to play a lot of hands and gamble, the high ante is the way to go. If you are a more tight/conservate (TAG) stud player, the lower ante structures are the way to go.As you stated, the high ante structure creates a lot of action, and in turn greater variance. The low structure is great for a player who knows stud well and picks his spots wisely.

The stud tables at pacific are absurdly fishy. Its not uncommon to have 80% of the table on sixth street...horrible, horrible stud players. If you are patient and pick your spots well it is a gold mine.
