total prizes 1st and 2d 273000, 20000 pulled aside for race leaves 253,000. (175,000 and 98,0000 were 1st and 2d)Chip leader had .5619 and 2d place .4381 of the chips. Instead of a straight allocation by chip count, they gave each 98,000 (2d place prize) and split the 57,000 excess by chip count, giving chip leader 130,026 and 2d 122,974. Thats about 12,000 less than a straight prorate for the chip leader, 12,000 more for 2d.I would think if anything a chop should favor the chip leader because he can be somewhat more aggressive, and here the chip leader took a haircut....2d place should be thrilled with the deal he got!In a quick post tourney chat where people questioned the method they made a big deal about 2d place giving up the button to talk about the deal, but the blinds were only 100,200 plus 25 so i cant see that being a reason for a swing of 5% in each direction, 10% total.
