oops...didn't see that you were on the button...ok, raise preflop fine, I don't know the player but you already raised him on the flop and then he checks raises you on the turn...hmmm...cause for some concern, time to slow down.

without a read, i just call the turn checkraise. if he's bluffing, you want to encourage him to fire another barrel, otherwise you're pretty far ahead or pretty far behind.aseem

everything was fine, and the reraise on the turn is not necessarily a mistake, but i think you only do it if you have some sort of read on the player, i.e. he often check-raises on marginal hands and/or he is in general a wild/loose player. i do not specialize in shorthanded, but it seems there is quite a bit that can beat you, and even though you are likely winning, since your raise gives him the opportunity to reraise, i think you have to consider it more than 50% likely you are ahead to reraise.if anything, you should call, and then raise the river and this may scare him away from reraising if in fact he hit trips or better.daniel
