I never play on PS and this was around hand number 30-40 so no info on them and they shouldn't have had any info on me. The table did not seem anywhere near this loose up until this point. Usually a raise to $8 took the pot preflop. Needless to say I was shocked to see 4 calls preflop. I had showed down 2 fairly strong hands and won about $50 on those 2 up to that point. My thoughts for betting the flop so light is that i wanted someone to hit an overpcard or if someone hit a low set I might find out right then and there. That turn card didn't overly scare me, but knowing there was 3 coordinated cards I didn't want to mess around a whole lot more.
CobaltBlue 662
Gotta bet more on the flop.

BeanGW 0
PF: Meh, sometimes I check, sometimes I raise. Probably would have checked here, but with your reads that you might have taken the pot down there, I guess it's OK.Flop: Pot it.Turn: The way you played the flop, I'd absolutely pot it now... maybe even overbet it to take it down. If you had potted the flop, a push might the better option.
akishore 0
no one should be potting this flop. i think OP played it fine.i move in on the turn.aseem
CobaltBlue 662
I'm not saying pot the flop. I'm saying, "Don't let QJ and J9 take easy shots at us."
akishore 0
I'm not saying pot the flop. I'm saying, "Don't let QJ and J9 take easy shots at us."yeah, i agree. i think in an aggressive game, betting light on the flop is ideal so that you can invite a raise. in a more passive game, i can see a case for betting some more.aseem
BeanGW 0
no one should be potting this flop.Against 2 villains I'd agree... But against 4 villains who called a preflop raise (and therefore likely have something they'd be more willing to play given passive reads), you gotta bet more. Maybe potting is a bit much, but I'm definitely betting 2/3 the pot.

exdubliner 0
tough decision on what to do here, because with that many people in, you really can't price them in that much to see the turn. I think you should have bet half pot at the very least on the flop. You're not in too much trouble though, and I agree that you should move in here. Most likely he saw the scare card come up and tried to push you off your hand. I'm interested to know the end result of the hand though.
BigLebowski 0
Needless to say I thought I was ahead at this point so I pushed. He called instantly. I thought low set and I am in great shape...Hero raises to $212.65, CO calls $130.65.River: ($527.30) 7:spade: [color:#0000FF](2 players)Final Pot: $527.30Results in white below: [color:#FFFFFF]Hero has Td Ts (full house, tens full of sevens). CO has 9c 6c (straight, ten high). Outcome: Hero wins $527.30. Of course he told me how lucky I got on the river. Funny, I always thought 10 outs was better than 6, but hey, that's just me. Looking back I think at a minimum 2/3 pot bet on flop was correct. If someone had an overpair I was going to get paid and at minimum get the screwy guts out. Thanks for the advice too. Egarim 0
no one should be potting this flop. i think OP played it fine.i move in on the turn.aseemDefinitely need to bet more on the flop since ur out of pos. Ur giving players way too good a price for calling on a gutshot/oesd. After all those callers I'd definitely be worried about j9 out there. QJ and possibly q9 or 96. Once you bet 40 into the turn, I don't think you can fold at this point. If he has a low set/2pair u have the best hand. If he has the str8 then atleast u have outs by filling up on the river. In any case... the flop bet is what put u in such a bad situation. Sometimes it's better to win a small pot then lose a big one.
akishore 0
yeah, my mistake. i just meant that OP shouldn't be potting the flop specifically, but he DIDN'T play it fine--he definitely needs to betting more. i think a 2/3 pot bet would be appropriate, maybe even 1/2 pot.aseem
krup24 0
Very weak flop bet. Bet at least $35 there. And you did get really lucky on the river after villian got really lucky on the turn. But you gave him a very cheap price to draw to what he thought would be the best hand.
