Steppin Razor 0
I hadn't been at the table long, so my reads are iffy. Button was loose/passive Hero dealt 2 K 8 K PRE-FLOP UTG Call $ 0.50, SB Fold, BB Check POT = $3.25 Flop 2 K A BB Check, UTG Check, Hero Bet $ 1.00, UTG Fold, Hero Call $ 3.50POT = $33.75 Turn 2 K A 6 Hero Bet $ 5.75SIDE POT = $11.50 MAIN POT = $33.75 River 2 K A 6 3 Hero Check , Hijack Check
Steppin Razor 0
Anyone? I didn't post a specific question because I'd just like to see what you thought of the PF limp, flop play, and the river check. basically the whole nine yards.
mk 11
loose limp preflop. i don't really like it. this hand has very little going for it, but at the same time it's easy to get away from u/i on the flop, so if the game is very passive, it's not terrible.post-flop, bet more on the turn. and what's with the river check? value bet that all day. what are you afraid of? 45? a slowplayed AA? Steppin Razor 0
Thanks. PF, I'll limp with KKs because I play relatively passive games, but I won't play them for a raise. As for the river check, I thought anyone who could call would be able to beat me, and if he had the busted club draw he'd fold.
KDawgCometh 2
i'm not gonna make the same comment twice, so just refer to my reply at CP about this. I detest the PF limp, seriously, your hand blows, you really only have the Kings going for it and not much else

Steppin Razor 0
Thanks. I played it for two reasons - 1) I felt I could reasonably expect 4 players with me, giving me odds (assuming I could get one call on the flop)and could fold to a raise, and 2)Lyle Berman said I could (in SS2).Seriously though, I figured if I could flop a set cheap, I'd have a draw to a FH if I hit, and had a weak flush draw that was also defensive. It was a loose limp, but was it really so bad? Is there fault with my reasoning ('cause if there is I don't want to do it again)? I know 4 players limping is a lot to assume, but with only 1 decent player(I thought) and the rest loose passives it wasn't unreasonable.Thx Kdawg for your comments on bet size on the other forum. I cross posted because FCP has a little more traffic in the Omaha forum.
quadaces 0
When I first started reading your post I was assuming that you check from the blind. Bad assumption! You should have never seen the flop with this hand. I played it for two reasons - 1) I felt I could reasonably expect 4 players with me, giving me odds (assuming I could get one call on the flop)and could fold to a raise,The one thing most people don't understand is you can NEVER get good enough odds to play crappy hands! This is more of a hand to isolate with.

This is more of a hand to isolate with.no, it isn't an isolating hand here at all. We don't have any sort of decent straight draw in the hand, and we counterfeit one of our diamond outs. THis is an easy fold PF, and I'm not thinking twice about it. Petoria, i think that it might very well be possible that you are overplaying your pair hands in PLO, and you probably need to get out of that habit

Steppin Razor 0
YOU DO NOT WANT 4 PLAYERS TO SEE THE FLOP WITH NAKED KKxx.I need them to price me in to take a shot at the flop. This hand seems to me like a medium PP in a loose HE game. To me it looks like a classic 'no set no bet' limp.I understand the starting hand is not a good one, especially in EP. I usually wouldn't consider playing this hand until late position. I did here because I had a good read on the table. Once I hit my set cheap, I'm a coinflip re: FH v. SD or FD on the river (and ahead before then) and I have a defensive draw.
