yeah, I just called because I wanted to try and get the small blind and big blind to peel one off. After UTG+1's check on the turn I thought he was weak and bet it trying to take it down right then, but I also picked up more outs against a weak ace

This may be correct if the pot is large. The theory being that if they will call 1 bet, they'll probably call 2 as well. Here, if you raise, you're just going to drive opponents out. I you drive them out, you really don't increase your winning chances, you just lose value.

I guess I'll have to quote this part too, so I don't upset Actuary. :wink: I think trying to get more opponents involved in this pot far outweighs the benefit of getting a free turn card. Our draw comes in so often that paying 1BB if we miss on the turn should not concern us.
