Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is Button with [9s], [Qs]. MP posts a blind of $0.75. UTG calls, MP (poster) checks, Hero calls, SB completes, BB raises, UTG calls, MP calls, Hero calls, SB calls.Flop: (10.50 SB) [5d], [9d], [Qd] (5 players)SB bets, Hero calls, SB calls, BB folds, UTG calls.Turn: (9.75 BB) [As] (4 players)SB checks, UTG checks, MP bets, Hero calls, SB calls, UTG calls.River: (13.75 BB) [3c] (4 players)SB checks, UTG checks, MP checks, Hero checks.Final Pot: 13.75 BBI really don't like the way I played this. Any suggestions would be nice. (obviously the river play sucked)

I like the way you played it in position. Big draws aren't going anywhere. Made hands are punishing you.But I'd value bet the river. Looks a lot like the aggressor missed a draw, and our two pair figures to be good AND get called by weaker hands. C/R here is pretty rare I think.Ice

i'm not really a fan too much.i either:three-bet the flop, take control of the hand...ORcold-call the flop, raise any non-diamond turn.charge those naked diamonds to draw.i also value bet that river every day.aseem

I like that.How do you know when the flush is not already out there?And if you knew it was, would you play it like this?I would. Not knowing for sure, though, gotta fight for the pot.But if it's not already out there, you have to protect your hand, i.e. charge for draws.I lean towards the call flop, raise turn.
