So it's a simple, weekly homegame at my friend's place last Saturday. Everyone starts with 900 chips, blinds bump up after set times, etc, etc.I'm the big stack with about 1500, blinds are 25/50 at this point; it's folded to me on the button. I look down and see Ah/Ac. *GLEE* I bring it in for 200. Small blind folds. Big blind is my buddy Neal whom the term 'loose' barely begins to scratch the surface. I've given him the nickname 'Suck' because of his uncanny ability to pull winners out of his backside with any hand. You all know the type. Anyway, Neal playsback and reraises to 400 - just under half his stack. I move in, hoping to shut him out right there and prevent 'Suck' from working his magic. To my (somewhat) surprise, he calls. I flip over my aces and he just laughs. He flips over the OTHER two aces. He's about to start divvying up the chips right there when I remind him that we have to play it out - one of us might catch a runner-flush and take the whole thing. So, burn and turn, two kings and a deuce, rainbow. We could've stopped right there, but we push on - turn comes another king. Then the river... you guessed it - the last king. Our pocket rockets turned into four kings with an ace-kicker (Who wouldn't normally love to have that in a tournament setting, eh?).Now does this hand give any grand insight into the majesty that is no-limit poker? No way. But I thought it was kind of funny all the same.
the oddest hand i've ever seen
