Hi there I was just wondering if people could give me some of their thoughts regarding this hand :This hand took place during a multi-table tourny at the very early going.Should I have made a large bet after the flop? ( all- in maybe )??? Should the raise have been larger to drive him out of the pot? I know I slow played this hand way too much and it cost me but I was just wondering how others would have played the hand. I'd have bet the flop and moved in on the turn on any card.

well, you misplayed it every way possible to be honest and he outplayed you this hand. First of all, calling a raise with A2 offsuit? Then checking the flop and giving a free card? You don't know if your good here, so you need to make at least a pot sized bet to find out if somebody else has an Ace. If they do, your in trouble, because you have the weakest kicker possible. There's also a flush draw on the board and you gave a player drawing to that a free card to outdraw you. But of course this situation could have been avoided all together if you had folded pre-flop. Playing A2, what else did you want? You flopped a set, about as good as you can ask for. You should not be playing A2 in the first place and definitely not if you can't play it correctly when you hit it.

i'm not sure if i would have played pre-flop with a/2 but being you were in position with like 5 callers, makes it somewhat worth seeing, but definetly bet on the flop...the guy with 10's now is convinced you probably don't have an ace, and bets out on the turn, giving more odds to catch the river

wanted to see the flop - it was early in the tournament. I really think the only "mistake" I made was to not bet after the flop. If I bet on the flop he has pocket 10's and has two aces on the board. I put out a big bet , he folds and the pot would have been mine. Like I said I was on the button and it was very early in the tournament and sometimes I like to take chances and take a peek at a flop. Thanks again for the inputBigSlick

Any call to a flop bet here has to make you slow down. You're playing one card from your hand and are drawing to the board pairing again against a lot of hands.
