Great, 3 playoff rounds of Pierre Mcguirre. I prefer Sportsnet coverage, but TSN is still good. Sportsnet local coverage of the Canucks is excellent.

Is TSN a Canadian network? I'm not sure I get that station, unless they're running the same coverage as OLN (doesn't look that way).

Yeah. They are now run very similar to ESPN (right up to having a sports update show called Sports Center). I think ESPN actually has a small ownership stake in them, but I could be wrong. They used to have a show called Sports Desk, which kicked all kinds of ass.The Sportsnet I refer to is Rogers Sportsnet (owned by a giant Canadian cable/communications company), not to be confused with Fox Sportsnet.Rogers Sportsnet is broken down into regions, and they have excellent regional coverage of local hockey teams.

IIRC, ESPN owns 32% of TSN. That's why lots of "ESPN original programming" shows up on TSN.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but Pierre Mcguirre has got to be one of the worst color commentators on the market. The guy lectures the audience as if the coaches are listening to him from the bench plus he screams commentary about the most mediocre of plays. He just agrivates me  ,but then again, maybe it's just me.

He may lecture and scream, but at least he's right. If I have to hear the CBC guys fsck up play after play for too much longer, I might just snap.

I thought Alberta got Sportsnet West rather than Pacific? Either way, the most likely reason is scope of broadcasting rights. If they didn't pay for the rights to show those games in Alberta for whatever reason, then they aren't allowed to do so.

"Look at this dump in by Hal Gill! That is a textbook dump in!! He did it not once, but twice in the same period!!!!!!!! Hal Gill is my first period MONSTER!!!"Do you mean like that? Or is it more like:"Look what Barry Trotz did here. Detroit had their scoring line out, and Trotz, being a wise and experienced coach, matched it with his checking line!!! That is big league coaching right there."

Hah, welcome back. Good timing, just in time for a Stanley Cup run.
