It was indeed pokerroom.I ran the stats against his actual holdings and it worked fine. I just wondered if anybody would give the bettor credit for more than a naked 47xx.

It was indeed pokerroom.I ran the stats against his actual holdings and it worked fine. I just wondered if anybody would give the bettor credit for more than a naked 47xx.

Pokerroom has a lot of regulars. I played there the past couple of weeks.I thought for him to go all-in, he must have a diamond draw too, so you can't know if yours is good. So you'd only have 8 outs - three 8's three 5's the 3c and the case 6.

Since it is PLO, not O8, you do not need to worry AS MUCH about someone having the low cards that fit into that possible straight IMO. I think you COULD have checked the flop, then potted it to see where you stand. If re-raised, fold with confidence. Just calling that fairly small bet (which could mean anything) allows many people to see the next card very cheaply, giving them an opportunity to suckout on you (if you are indeed ahead).That, or fold the flop. 8)

If the other dude had a bigger chip stack I'd call on the flop, but you weren't getting the propper implied odds to call. I thought check/fold was the best move on the flop.

This is where my lack of knowledge of playing at that level definately would skew my thinking on where you currently sit. I keep (usually incorrectly) assuming that with the higher $ values involved the skill levels of the players would be greater. I originally indicated that someone having the straight that would currently beat your trips was not likely out there, due to the cards in question...if there are 4-5 players in the hand that play like you have indicated above, then you are probably correct in your assessment that you are not currently leading the hand. :cry: You do have outs to fill up though...not as many as you would like, but you do have some... 8)

Am I missing something here??? Youve got a set and a decent diamond draw.....you might be behind by 4-7, but if youre folding here, youre playing way too scared!! Maybe I'm wrong, but I would tend to like my hand here
