akishore 0
one limper to me, i'm in middle position with A 2 2 2 .i limped, but i wasn't sure if it was good.pros of the hand:- i am WAY less likely to get counterfeited.- my ace is suited.- i am WAY less likely to get quartered when i make a nut low.cons:- pretty obvious, i have nothing else working for the hand. only one two-card combination basically.do the pros outweigh the cons?aseem
Chamonyx 0
Don't forget, an Ace would counterfeit you, they DO sometimes come on the board :-) If I was bored and felt that one more player behind me would call (i.e. 5 to the flop) then I might call, however I don't think you give up very much by folding:- even if 5 players see the flop, you run the risk of having to pay 2.5BB to win 1.25BB, although the clubs do help. Rocketwadster 0
Is there not a standard rule to NEVER play a hand that has trips in it (unless you ar ethe BB obviously and got to see the flop for free)? I MAY have played that hand from the SB, but definately wouldn't from ANY other position (except BB)... :?
mk 11
regardless of the trips, the hand has scooping potential. position is questionable, though. i'd prefer to be near the button with this.

Easy fold pre-flop for me. 8)
garamond10pt 0
I think it depends on the game. In 50-60% flop games, a naked A2 usually is profitable enough. With A222, you do have counterfeit/quarter protection. I'd definitely see the flop for one bet, even OOP.
