I thought I would present this trade proposal to everyone to see what they think. In one of my public leagues on Yahoo I was offered the following trade.I would get:LW- Brendan ShanahanLW- Gary RobertsG- Manny LegaceHe would getLW- Simon GagneLW- Sergei SamsonnovG- Roberto LuongoNow getting rid of Luongo will not hurt me since I currently have Brodeur on my roster, but I wanted to open this one up to debate.

terrible trade don't do it, Gagne will have a great year with Forsberg this year, plus the incentive of playing well early to make the Olympic team. Samsonov has a 1 year deal too, so he's looking to step it up and the Bruins have a center to play with him as well.Save Luango and trade him alone for someone else later if you already have Brodeur

I was planning on rejecting the trade anyway and it appears that's what I am going to do, but I just wanted to get some extra input...thanks everyone.

You should be able to get primo value out of Luongo since you have Brodeur. In that trade, you had the best TWO players in Gagne and Luongo. You do realize Gagne will play with one Peter Forsberg? I also have Gagne in my pool, I drafted him in our minor league entry draft when he was 18. The new rules will help him more than guys like Roberts or Shanahan. I'd book Gagne against either or those players in a heartbeat.

Don't trade Luongo. If him and Brodeur do well this season then you can dominate the goalie stats which give 1/3 of the total points and can be all the difference.

I would like to see what stats are being counted in your pool, but assuming it is the usual...GA+/-PIMWGAASA%SO....sort of thing, I think this would be a brutal trade for you to make.Gagne should be more productive than Shanahan with the exception of penalty minutes and Samsonov should put up decent numbers in his search for a better contract while Roberts is with Florida and his +/- will show it!If your league uses two goalies, I wouldn't mess with Luongo and Brodeur. How you ended up with both guys is beyond me.Bottom line - DON'T MAKE THE TRADE!
