I just lost a monster pot in PLO and I figure this is probably as good a time as ever to ask.How much do I need to play at a certain level in pot limit omaha? Note that I'm saying pot limit omaha, not pot limit omaha/8.

All I can say is $200 is not enough for .50/.50 PLO    Also not the best limit to learn, but oh well. Now I'm playing $25 PL .10/.25 blinds with a $500 roll, and feel much better, but still a little light.
I dropped about 500 or 600 today at $100PLO and was sweating my bankroll. No big deal, though.I'm not sure at what level that it becomes a difficult game to win at, honestly. I've played as high as $200PLO and have never seen any fantastic players. The naturally aggressive types tend to overexpose themselves and get beat down by some fish with two pair.

15-25 times the max buy in for your limit? What? If you lose more than 5 buy ins in a row in PLO at any limit under $500, something's SERIOUSLY wrong. There's just not that much variance in PLO against bad players.Good luck.

I must've offended the poker gods, because I haven't been able to beat the bad players recently. At the .10/.25 blinds, I lost 3.35 to the blinds before I got cards good enough to see a flop yesterday. Day before, I had nut or second nut flushes 17 times and never flopped a draw (even with dbl suited Aces a couple of times.) I'm getting ready to sacrifice a deck of cards right now.
