Once you raised the flop, I really like the rest of the hand. He's playing it like he has unimproved overs. With 4 people to a 3 bet flop though, I don't know if I'm playing the flop the way you did. I may peel to see if i hit my gutshot or turn a flush draw. Of course, the way you played it, you might have cleaned up your A outs a little. I dunno. I'd be interested to see what others say, cuz I'm a bit torn.

He only has to fold a little more than 8% of the time to be profitable.I think it really depends on your opponent and your image. It looks like he was trying to catch an A or K. If he is able to fold an unimproved AK here around 15% of the time (sometimes he may be playing a mid PP meekly), your good. Unless he sees you as a bluff-happy maniac, I think a lot of opponents at 1/2 will simply give up here. Nice bet.I also like the flop semi-bluff raise. With all your draws, and cleaning up of overcard potential, raising here is a must. I posted a hand where I felt a semi-bluff raise was in order in an 11.5sb pot, with just a gutshot and bdflush draw.Follow the link here:http://fullcontactpoker.com/poker-forums/v...pic.php?t=25539I really think this hand deserves much more attention. This hand is a completely different situation. Aseem has 2 overs, a backdoor nut flush draw, and a gutshot. You had 2 unders, a gutshot, and a backdoor 6 high flush draw. I like raising a lot more in Aseem's example than I do yours.

i'm not really raising to clean up anything...there's no one to act behind me other than the bettor and the caller.i'm raising to set up a bluff on the turn/river, and to get more information from MP about his hand (if he three-bet, i'm confident he has a big pair, if he just calls, i bluff the turn, etc.).aseem

well, the real question is what is his three betting range here PF. Cause a Guy this aggro could very well go toa showdown on the river with AK and AQ. I think he'll still call you on the river with 99 or 1010, so the onnly hand that I can see you getting him to fold is probably 77,88, or AJs, those beat you, and you beat KQs. but knowing what kind of three bettor he is PF can really help here

That's a typo or something, right?4 clubs doesn't make a flush. You have to bet this river, you're not winniing this hand checking ever, you'll occasionally win it betting. I think you win it enough to bet.
