OK, I think I'm playing under tilt right now, and I was hoping you guys can tell me how stupid I was...Playing a $50 buy-in Single Table SnG...I'm in the small blind, and incredibly short stacked from a really stupid move earlier in the game... I'm holding 6Td and it's folded all the way to me... The blinds are only at $10-$20 and I bump it up to $60, trying to steal the blind (everyone started with $300 and I'm down to about $110 with three players out)The big blind calls me, much to my dismay and then the flop comes Th 8c 5s. I have the guy covered by just a few dollars, and with top pair I figure a semi bluff will drive him out, I really don't have this guy on much of a hand or I think he would have came over the top of me preflop. I move all-in and I'm certain he's going to fold. Instead he calls my all in and turns over Ah4d He hits a 4 on the turn and a blank on the river. My Tens held up.I took down the pot, but boy was he pissed at me... Truth be told, I was a little pissed at me for staying, but it was supposed to be a bluff ... I mean, is it really my fault that he called me when the flop missed him completely?
how bad was this?

Theres nothing wrong with what you did. Wasn't a bad move at all.I personally would've gone all-in preflop.
Hey, I don't have all the answers in life. To be honest, I've failed as much as I've succeeded, but I love my wife, I love my life, and I wish you my kind of success.

The guy calls almost all his chips with no pair, no draw and he's pissed at you? I'd start laughing.
I'm not a professional poker player, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Actually, he called ALL his chips... That put him out of the game. Yeah, he wasn't too happy with me AT ALL, kind of made me start questioning myself. I went on to take 3rd in the tournament, thanks mostly to doubling up through him

How is top pair a semi-bluff? I might just be reading the post wrong.Although I would have lost it when he just called with A high. What was he pissed at? The fact that you weren't raising with KQ or something his A high could beat?

I don't see anything wrong with how you played this. This guy called with ace high and no draw??? After you raised pre-flop, then led out on the flop???Whatever. That guy shouldn't be playing $50 tourneys. He should be playing for nickels and dimes over at the Greyhound Bus Station.
