Last night i was playing a mixed cash game with about 6 of my friends. We get to Pot Limit Omaha and i pick up AAAA. Now, i'm thinking what are the odds of me getting this, which i don't care to figure out, and then realize the only possible hands i can have are one pair, two-pair, or a boat. If the board pairs or makes trips. I fold the hand because i really have no chance, but seriously this has to be the prettiest bad hand.

Was this Pot Limit or Limit Omaha? Because interestingly enough, AAAA is not a horrible hand in Omaha given two conditions:1) You can get Heads-Up2) You can get all-in pre-flopAAAA is actually a favorite against almost every other hand, the few exceptions being a hand like Q :D J :D T :) 9 :) which is a slim 52-48 favorite over the aces. The reason that it's important to get all-in preflop is that you will have basically no idea of where you stand after cards hit the board, so you'd be playing in the dark.
