UglyJimStudly 0
Ottawa's ticket pricing scheme:http://www.ottawasenators.com/tickets/individual.aro Premium GamesMontreal, is a Premium priced game with a 10% price increase. Toronto are Premium priced with a 30% increase.Interesting idea. Those teams are both guaranteed sellouts, and also teeter on the edge of being away games so far as fan support is concerned, so I guess the Senators management see this as a fairly safe cash grab. Any other teams doing anything like this?
digitalmonkey 929
I believe this concept originated in the UK with football games.I know that the Sabres were talking about this in 2004. They had released ticket prices that saw Leaf games costing more. I'm sure many teams are doing (or planning to do) this.I'm not sure if I agree with it yet!
digitalmonkey 929
Also, here's a link regarding teams and their ticket prices. Keep in mind, it's from July 6th!
ajs510 122
The Sabres are definitely going this route with their tickets, they have 4 different levels of pricing, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Value. The Gold Games are the first game against Pittsburgh (guaranteed sellout, lots of people will be there to check out Sidney Crosby) and the rest are mostly Friday night games against Northeast rivals like the Senators, Maple Leafs, and Flyers. It's a pretty good idea, actually, although a lot of people won't like the fact that the weekend games and games against other popular teams cost more. Personally, I only attend 3-4 games per year so it won't affect me all that much.
