Id lead on 5th to try and get some money in the pot. If you hit your low, based on teh board it figures to be the best low, and you can also hit your hi for a scoop with an ace, king, running diamonds, etc. IMO you were missing some value. But then again, im really no stud 8 expert... just starting out... lol

I WAS going to do just that, but this table DOES NOT fold. If the guy with the 7's had bet, unless they had 7's beat they would have folded, but if I bet representing the low, would they call here hoping to win only the high (only other hand that could have a low was the 7's, but if he did would he not have bet?) This is the conundrum I was in, hence the post... :?
