I like putting a bet in on the flop to see where i am. I think you have to fold on the turn when he raises.

i don't agree, and that's why i checked.almost every hand calls my flop bet. backdoor low draws, backdoor flush draws, any 7, any overpair. i might not even get raised by a flopped boat or a naked 9.i think the "information" i get by betting the flop will be almost nonexistant and very unreliable.fwiw, i was planning on folding to a flop bet from my right and peeling one off (calling) if it came from my left and i was closing the action.aseem

I'd agree here, even someone with J-J-A-3 might take a card off on the flop. On the turn it looks like a slow-played 9 or a flopped boat is betting now not fearing a low. I'm not an O/8 expert by any means, however I don't mind the turn bet too much, but I think you have to fold to the raise, since you could be drawing VERY thin. Normally 9s=bad, but LP could have played one since he cold called with decent odds and only 1 to act behind him.

This kind of situation is tough in LO8, in PLO8 the play is much simpler right from the beginning. But anyway I would fold too. LP either had it or you don't want to mess with him, he played his position right.

You played it fine. You raised before the flop, when things still looked good. The board was about as bad as it gets for you. Don't throw any more money in. Someone's probably sitting on at least a 9, so your aces aren't any good. On the turn, your low draw's gone. Your bet on the turn will just tell you who's sitting on the 9. You found out. So fold.

Unless these are very poor players, I am not sure you are right. For a low to call a flop bet, they should have A2 with counterfeit protection (and you have 2 of the aces). Anyone who is prepared to chase a back door flush on a rainbow board, you want to take money from. The only hands that should call a flop bet here are: 9, 77, 68, 8T (and last 2 only maybe, with something else going for them). By not betting, you are not giving them the opportunity to make a mistake iaw the Fundamental Theorem of Poker. You are also probably costing yourself half a big bet:Bet flop, call one raise. Check/Fold this turn, check/call a low turn, bet an A on the turn.

meh...I disagree. If you're going to take a bet/fold kind of lineI'd rather do it on the flop when it's 1/2 price.I think you're being a little optomistic (or the game you're in is WAY loose) in thinking that a 7, or a backdoor flush draw is callingyour bet here...An overpair, maybe, but (most) everyone knowsthat a flush on a paired board in Omaha is pretty much junk.And if people are calling you down with a 7...woo hoo!! Bet/fold the flop, if called and unimproved, check/fold the turn.
