Late last week I posted that I'd be traveling to Choctaw, MS for my first experience with poker in a casino. I'm happy to report back with a few interesting hands...-----------------------------------------------Live 3/6 Limit (9-handed)Cobalt is UTG+1 w/ K :) K :club:. UTG is an uber-passive regular. BB is a LAG regular. Button and SB are uber-donks that haven't ever played poker before. They've "watched on TV".Pre-flop:UTG callsFlop (6 players): T 5 3 (rainbow)SB betsTurn (3 players): 9 (suit inconsequential)SB betsRiver (3 players): TSB betsFinal Pot: ~18 BBGotta call here, right? Even though the SB screams that he has a T?-----------------------------------------------After playing Limit a while, I decided to gather my cajones and move to NL...-----------------------------------------------Live 2/5 NL (9-handed)Cobalt is MP1 w/ J :) J :). No read on UTG. MP2 is wearing a cowboy hat and sunglasses and has a stack a good bit above the max buy-in. CO is an older guy that seems generally solid. Button is a donkey.Pre-flop:UTG raises to $10Flop (5 players): J :) 7 :) 3 :)UTG bets $15Prayer does work. :-) The pot's at ~$220. I have $115 left in my stack. Easy all-in?-----------------------------------------------Live 2/5 NL (9-handed)Cobalt is BB w/ A :) T :). MP1 is a donkey who is prone to make really weak bets.Pre-flop:2 folds, UTG+2 calls, Cobalt checksFlop (4 players): J :) A :D J :D.SB checks, Cobalt bets $15Turn (3 players): Q :heart:Cobalt checks, UTG+2 checks, MP1 bets $15River (2 players): 7 :diamond:Cobalt checks, MP1 bets $20Final Pot: $135I get passive on the turn and river because I'm pretty sure I can see a cheap showdown. Additionally, he's shown some absolute garbage in hands similar to this.-----------------------------------------------I took a break for a while, then went back and played some more 3/6 Limit. I mostly broke even at my first table before it broke and I got moved to another table. I was not prepared for the frustration that awaited me. In a period of 2-3 hours, I hadn't won a hand. I never recall seeing so many garbage hands. I was constantly getting combinations of 9,8,3,2. I saw one ragged ace. I never saw a king. I never saw a pocket pair. The only time I got a broadway was QTo. One time I flopped a flush with 97s (from the blinds) and lost to the T when the four-flush came out. None of the hands I've thrown away would've won. There are a bunch of donkeys at my table, but I can't take advantage of it because I'm not getting any cards. Anyway, this hand finally comes up...-----------------------------------------------Live 3/6 Limit (9-handed)Cobalt is UTG+1 w/ J :) T :D. SB is a passive regular. He's had KK three times that I've seen and played them mostly passively. CO and Button are super LAG donks. They'll raise bottom pair on the flop and call down with it on the river.Pre-flop:1 fold, Cobalt calls, BB checksFlop (6 players): A :) J :) J :)SB betsTurn (3 players): 2 :)SB betsRiver (3 players): 7 :)SB betsFinal Pot: 15 BBThe pre-flop call is terrible. After that, how about the rest based on reads? I was 90% sure that the Button would raise on the flop. I really really didn't like the SB betting into me on the turn. If he hadn't, I would've bet.(Let me add my apology for posting this in general strat...I haven't been around to know that this section is now live.)

What's the buy in on that game? And chip stacks, although I doubt that info really matters in this hand. Easy push. Great thing is you will get called, I would bet on it.I love live no limit. wow,you hit the jackpot on that hand. Well done :D

Hand 1: Is UTG passive enough not to raise a 10 in this spot? If not, I would call.
Yes. That also crossed my mind.As it turned out, donkey had KTs. The guy to my left noted that he had folded a ten. So, I lost a $100 pot to a one-outer. :-)

Buy-in is $100-$300.I did go all-in, and unfortunately, I did not get a caller. UTG claimed TT. MP2 claimed 99. Button claimed AJ.
