diverting from smash strat, still ridiculous overbet

Recommended Posts

So I jumped on the bandwagon and hit the NL tables to use the strat... and I couldn't get me to go all in on the flop on this hand. Just... couldn't... Should I have? I was adhering to the strat but not this hand.25 NLHero has 6s 6dFolds, 1 call, Hero calls, 1 call, more folds, BB checks.Flop: [6c][4d][4c]BB checks, EP checks, Hero checks, CO checks.Turn: [2c]BB bets 0.25, EP folds, Hero calls 0.25, CO folds.River: [10h]BB checks, Hero goes all in for 16.00, BB folds.Haha, that is so ridiculous.

The point of going all-in on the flop is that people will NOT give you credit for the monster hand. you waited until teh river, where a ten came up. If your opponent had a fairly good hand but was less than a ten, you just blew yourself out of getting any money... :club:

Like I said, I couldn't get me to go all in on the flop. I don't think I was getting much out of this hand. 2 of them didnt even call a 0.25 cent minimum bet from the BB. Then the BB checked the river.
