Play is checked to me, I bet 3/4 pot, called by BB. Turn is 4c, BB checks, I bet 3/4 pot, BB calls.I hit a Kc on the turn, BB checks, I go all in, BB calls. I win a big pot (a little over $20) in a micro-limit game.All of the sudden, I'm getting all sorts of flack for hitting a card on the river. Did I get lucky, or did I play the hand right?

If he had a 10, then technically, you re-sucked out on him. However, he never gave you a chance to fold your hand, so it's not even remotely your fault. He never let you think you were behind by raising. nh.

At these micro limit tables you need action. No one picks up the nuances of a "correct" raise (forget about trying to play position as well) and will either fold, netting me a whopping dollar, or call with something absurd like j-10. I agree that at a "real" money limit I'd raise more, but I've found it's way more profitable to keep people in and outplay them after the flop on these micro games.

You got lucky, and played the hand right.BB never gave you a reason or opportunity to think he had a 10, and never gave you a situation to fold, so what are you supposed to do?

To me, based on what you have indicated people were telling you, your opponent not only could have had an ace, but also could have had pocket 3's or maybe even pocket 4's, or maybe pocket aces (sounds stupid, but I've seen it). For all of those hands (with the exception of the aces), you were a huge favorite pre-flop, so they may have gotten lucky to get a good flop/turn, tried to win a bunch of you, and allowed you to suck out on them. That's poker. 8)
