I'd do that too, as a course of action had I not check raised the flop. But I'd check raise the flop first. You're missing out on bets.

you dont give them a chance to bluff if you checkraise them so early. bet/call is way more deceptive.

You get more bets in on the flop. He bet, and the opponent after him raised the next 3 opponents out, where 1 or 2 of them could have called 1.He just got 3 small bets on the flop where I think if he C/R'ed he could have gotten at least 4+.

(New to Limit, so I'm posting this more as a question for people to answer than a comment)What if you check, and so the BB bets out. Let's say two of them call, back over to you so you raise. You'd have three callers behind you, and with a flush draw possibility on the board, a scare card hits? After all, we couldn't really assume that the BB would 3 bet it right after we check/raised.Also, if you opt check/raise, you could still get the same results, right? I mean, what if you check, and everyone checks over to the CO, and he bets? Then your raise would make everyone have to call 2 cold. Alternatively, if you bet, you might get called by one or 2 before someone raises, then your reraise would push out the callers and isolate the raiser. I mean, it's not like you'd know when you're actually playing that the BB would raise you, no? Or are there some subtle things in Limit that makes this very likely, but the CO raising alternative not feasible?

justblaze..how can you be so sure that if you bet/call the flop that he will bet out on the turn..isn't this a classic free card play? I guess with no reads its hard to say. I don't know, please explainMattnxtc..nh
