Depends on the buyin for me. I honestly think I have the best hand, but if making the money is a significant chunk of change I would fold. I would reraise to 2500 preflop. If he flat calls, I push on this flop. I think he may be making a play at the blinds, and I would definitely reraise with 10s preflop.

Pre-flop is where I make my decision. UTG is the only one at the table that can bust you. If I decide to play the tens than I have to be willing to go all the way with a flop like that which has no overcards. I push since I got the flop that I wanted.I actually fold the tens pre-flop here as I'm OOP and UTG has been playing reasonable tight which means that he has a hand.

I always play tournaments from the mindset that the money will only change my decision if "going for the win" is a mistake. An example I hijacked from Paul Phillips:You're three-handed and the payout is 1:3:6. Blinds are 10/20 and you're in the big blind with TT and a stack of 200. The SB is the monster chip leader with 2000 chips, and the button is a shorty with 20 chips. The button folds and SB moves in. Calling is a huge mistake.I didn't re-raise preflop because I didn't want more money in the middle from out of position with this hand. If I re-raise, I have to bet the flop no matter what, and when I'm raised, I have to let it go. If I get re-raised preflop, I also have to muck. I see a lot of good in keeping this pot small until I see a flop.
