Haven't heard much about the ring games at Paradise, was thinking about changing it up and playing there for a bit. From what I've read the tournaments seem to be ok.So:1. How are the ring games, (low limits I play .50 -$1)?2. What's the bonus like? Thanks all

Hey, I'm one of the only guys on this forum that plays at Paradise, but I do just fine there. I don't think it's as crazy as Party Poker, but the limit games are still really bad. Example:I was on the button, and everyone folded to me (pretty rare in and of itself) with AA. So I raise it up, and the BB reraised. Cap, blah blah blahFlop came A K 7. I figured I'd absolutely killed my action, but he led at it, so we ended up capping again. Rag on the turn. Rag on the river. My set was the nuts, I think. He showed me Q6 and typed in the chatbox "I thought you were bluffing." Anyway, the .5/1 game is eminently beatable. If you're not taking a few bucks an hour from the typical game I see there, you're doing something wrong.Ice

I play the .25/.50 and .50/1 limits and do ok. still learning though. Their rake seems to be seems to be high though. Love the graphics and software as well as the tourneys and sng's.

They also have a great first time buy in bonus, something like 35%. But they don't have any rebuy bonus.

I usually play at both UB and Paradise. I usually only play $1-2, $2-4 limit and since I'm new to NL only play the $25 max buy-in at Paradise. Paradise has a nice layout and well trusted (I'm not sure why someone would dump a large sum of money into a fly-by night gambling site as I've heard horror stories). I've had no issues with Paradise and have even been sent t-shirts and hats from them just for being a player there - although that was back in 2000. My only complaint is the number of hands per hour. It's a little slow complared to UB. Also, and this is not a plug for UB, but I really like UB's hand history feature. It's quick and easy and you can see what a player had when he mucks because he lost the hand. Shred

best poker room on the net... too friggin bad the security is BS.... they will ban you for anything. The game selection is the best ive ever played. I made 5k playing nl 100s between last may and july. They eventually banned me for what they thought was collusion.... no fighting it.oh well. the games are soft, and there is a good population of very loyal fish. i was routinely playing against a pool of about 60 players, so i was able to keep excellent notes, and know who to look out for.
