I was playing with a group of friends, and was delt JJ on the button. There was a small raise of about $1.50 by one of my friends on top of the $.50 bb. I reraised him another $3 and the BB called both raises and it came back to the original raiser who ended up raising another $5. I know how he plays and I know he is a tight player. I knew the only two hands he could have had were KK or AA. I wasn't woried about the other caller cause I know him too and I know he didn't have any thing too great. I don't know if I should have called b/c of pot odds but I ended up giving him respect and folded cause I knew I was beat pf. Well the BB called his raise and the flop came out J88. The BB went all in and the the original raiser called and showed KK. The other guy had AJ and I would have raked in a huge pot b/c I would have been last to act and flopped the full house. Did I play this right?

One, that's almost unreadable. When I read it aloud it sounds like a 14 year old kid on ritalin posting after having 19 cups of coffee while rocking back and forth in a chair. Two, what were the stack sizes of all three players involved in the hand. You probably should have called, but not if you had $50 and they both had $8.

I think you overplayed the JJ preflop. JJ is not as good of a hand as so many of us like to think it is. If you had just called you would have seen the flop and made your money (unless the BB reraised). Reraising with JJ should only be done when you believe your opponents will fold. If they call and you do not hit the J on the flop, but the flop has Ace and /or king in it what do you do???I stopped pushing JJ after getting put in the situation you were in. Play them like a middle pair and you would have seen the flop cheaply and made some good money.
