For anyone that watched Tilt last night, do you think it was better than the 1st episode. I for 1 thought the 1st episode did not live up to peoples expectations, and did no good to the poker community. However, I thought last nights episode was much, much better, and also elaborated the plot a little more. My question for Daniel is this, In the scene where "The Matador" (I hate that name) says to Eddie, "If there was no luck in this game, I would win every time". Was that quote added into the script? I know Eric Seidel, and Phil Hellmuth both proof read the scripts to make sure the poker lingo is correct, and flows. But did Phil add this quote in? I remember watching on ESPN, coverage of a WSOP event (I thing it was 2003?) and when he got busted, he said the same thing. (Typical Phil) I was just woundering if he would add something like this into the script, and if he wants to be the "Matador"?

I loooooove poker, but Tilt is a little melodramatic for me as far as poker is concerned. I watched a couple of episodes and I gave up. It just wasn't entertaining....to me anyway.

To me TILT is very eye opening. After reading Caro's articles on cheating and team cheaters, TILT seems to be right on target... especially if you have the casino top management involved in the doings. (I 'm not saying that there are ANY casinos conducting business as depicted in TILT... but... I really have no way of knowing one way or the other.)What TILT has shown me is that I/we need to be aware of who we are playing with and whether there seems to be one or more of your opponents making plays that are not consistent with your understanding of their level of play.Be VERY aware of who you are playing with in the high stakes games. Just going in cold turkey can be very costly IF you manage to sit in on a game loaded with one or more teams of cheats. As Caro pointed out the sophicated cheating teams are very hard to detect and apperently even harded to eliminate. Hopefully there will be new laws passed to address the problem and remove the cought cheats from the legitimate poker rooms. (It seems that what happens now is that the cheats once cought are given a wrist slap and probation... "Don't come back ... until after lunch!")High Rollers and whales should take what is being said in TILT to heart and spend a little of their bank rolls investigating the casinos they plan on playing in... are certain players way ahead of the curve winning wise. Who plays with them when they are winning big? Etc. Do what the Pros do... make book on the players they will be playing with.Just a though,Thumper
