I want to start an account on Party but I'm having problems connecting. Not sure why I'm having these problems. Might just be my computer is crap. I emailed PP support and I told them that I don't have a firewall. They said to try unblocking these "port" things...I have no idea where these port things are or what they do. Supposably they stop me from connecting to PP.I suppose I'm asking for someone to tell me how to unblock these ports...Thanks :club:

Turn off your firewall. You do have one. Look for Norton, Microsoft or something else providing you with "internet security".Or else you have a crappy ISP or doing it through your work account. If Party won't help you, turn to another poker room. There are also paid services that can help you out. Also, anything you do could cause probelms with your computer and I won't help you further.Using a computer is like using a car... both need maintainance and skilled operators. One needs a license, though both could use it IMO.--- btw, if anyone has ideas for storing large sums of money - let me know - I don't want to use a safety deposit box but it looks like the only way to go. I do not want to deposit it into a bank or leave it around my house.

It is my understanding that routers have built in firewalls. Am I right, Jason? (or another computer savy fellow)

You could leave it in the house if you had a safe in it. My friend has a safe built in to her closet wall complete with panel over it to make it look more like regular wall when her clothes are hung in there. It's pretty cool.
