A single table sngEarly on, 7 players left. I'm first to act and see 4d-4hI am normally a very tight player, but I noticed there hadn't been a lot of preflop raising so I thought I'd give this small pair a shot and see if could hit my trips. Blinds were 25/50. I limp in and happily so do 5 of the other 6. So there is 300 in the pot. 6 playersFlop comes 4c - Jd - 10cAlright, I've hit my fours. Normally, I've been making it very difficult for people to stay in when I hit a big hand. I love trips and I know the flush draw is looming, so instead of winning a little pot I decide to just make a pot enhancing minimum bet. Only the guy immediately to my left folds. So now there is 550 in the pot. Still relatively small and I can get away if I need to. 5 playersthe turn is JcMIRACLE CARD for me. I hit my full house while I'm sure at least one of these guys hit there flush. I again bet the min 100 in an attempt to show my stand on the hand was about the same. But the flush scares 3 more out. Down to two players and 750 in the pot. the turn is KcWell, great. If this guy was still hanging out drawing that Ac, he hit his pay dirt. He makes a 200 dollar bet, the first time he's lead at the hand the whole way. I raise it to 600. He re-raises all in (another 1100 to me). Well this is a horror story. So I obviously call almost feeling bad that he bet that Ace high flush so hard. He had the Ace of clubs all right and also the Queen. A freakin royal flush.I mean, he had ONE card in the whole deck and he has to hit it after I hit my house. It's a cruel game we play, friends.
