We all know Omaha 8/b has less variance and higher expected winrates than LHE. I was wondering how the following compared:Omaha 8/b and Stud 8/bPLO8 and PLOLHE to StudAny other interesting comparisons (perhaps even including Five Card Draw) would also be welcome.

Stud 8/b , Stud, Omaha 8/b , Omaha, LHEThat order, I think Sklansky wrote about this in something, I remember reading about it somewhere.
"Here are my rules: what can be done with one substance must never be done with another. No two materials are alike. No two sites on earth are alike. No two buildings have the same purpose. The purpose, the site, the material determine the shape. Nothing can be reasonable or beautiful unless its made by one central idea, and the idea sets every detail. A building is alive, like a man." - The Fountainhead.

This is in order from least variance to most, right?

This is interesting ....Most of these games will offer variances and winrates that will vary greatly depending on the type of opposition. 7-stud for example has greater variance than LHE usually.I guess it's best to try and imagine an average oppo where everyone has a fair idea about the game.I think O8 has less variance than stud 8 because of the flop(more hand definition after less betting streets). O8 should have the better winrate(???)PLO8 has far less variance than PLO no matter what - PLO is a volatile game. Winrate between the two - I'd say PLO8(??)NL 5-stud has very little variance but an incredible winrate against inferior oppo. NL 5-draw has greater variance than say PLO8, but a nicer winrate for the better player.Hmmm... my guess isVariance: big-bet - PLO >(?<) NLHE > PLHE > PLO8 > NL 5-stud limit - 7-stud > LHE > Omaha > Stud8 > O8Welcome any disagreements or other insights.
