Shred 0
This is kind of off topic from the original post, but one thing that always got me was the table shape. Playing on a holdem style table in a home game through my experience with each player dealing is that it is difficult to deal from the ends. I've opted for a round table (60") and that comfortably seats 8 players. We've even had up to ten although it was very tight.I've also bought "banquet" (sp?) style chairs that work great. I bought them from Sam's club for $17 each. They are comfortable, black (faux leather) and match nice with the black rail around the table.
qheuie 0
i think it will be close on a 5.5' table but it will work. i built a 42" x 8' table that works well for up to 8-9 people. my dining room table is 42" x 6' and we usually put no more than 6 on it without extending it. of course we like lots of elbow room.when i built my table i did a ton of research on how much space each player needed. i found out that commonly they recommended something like 30+" per person (use the google). so for 6 people you would want ~180" of total "edge space".as for dealing, it is impossible for people on the ends of hold em tables to deal, so we make the 4 people that sit near the center switch up dealing and make the fellas at the end shuffle the second deck when they are not involved in a hand. q
rog 0
Game starts in 90 minutes. With the chairs around it, looks like it'll work. I have two on each side, and 2 on each end. The two on each end are pushed out to the corners, and on the sides is sort at 1/3 and 2/3 from the corners. Thanks for the advice and links.Rog
