Who would've thought my first post would be on the ever flamed topic of cheating at online poker.I just won a $10 PP sng in which I was accused of cheating. The game was headsup, and some moron says, "spyware really works, huh?" after I made a laydown. I asked what he was talking about, and he said, "I'd bet my life you're using spyware." He stuck around for awhile (thanks to suckouts like 8-10 o/s cracking A-Js), then finally lost (got his money in with Q-3 o/s against A-3s) and told me I was a cheater and I had been reported. Can I assume PP will be telling this guy he's nuts and sending him a tin-foil hat? I added him to my buddy-list, feeling like suitable vengeance for being called a cheat would be to take all of his money on a regular basis. For what it's worth, I've been a long-time lurker here. I've learned a lot from the strategy posts (my limit game is a product of SSHE and Smash's Pokerstars daily updates), and hope to one day follow Kurt's footsteps and win a seat/trip to a major event. I'm entering my third year of law-school, and play for fun rather than rent. I haven't any designs (or ability) to be a pro, just to have fun and be a regular winning player. The former is going well, the latter is getting there after a year of work, but will hopefully get even better.-Mike

Good first post, and I wouldn't be to worried about the Party Poker incident. If the guy reports you, I really don't see what they can do to you. If they ban your account, they have to have a better reason than "someone accused him of cheating". If they have no proof, don't worry about it.

The guy was clearly nuts and the programmers at PP probably laughed their asses off if he actually sent a report. Don't worry about it.(I was told the same when I told a guy he had 10-10 and he flipped over 10-10 on Noble Poker.)

So basically he was pissed you laid your cards down so he couldn't take your money?SPYWARE HACKER!Haha, that's priceless. Damn you for making reads and not playing crap hands! If you would be worse he could have won! Instead you actually had to "play" and ruin his good times...For shame...

That sums it up perfectly. I was thinking this over: He was arguing that I hacked his machine to see his hole cards. Therefore, I either have one for all 9 people at every sit n go I play, or I knew he was the one to target so I could get first instead of second. (Yeah, I'll hack this guy who CALLS all his chips in with 10-8 o/s) That makes about as much sense as the other theory that I can see everyone's hand, because if I could do that I'd run right to the $10 sit n go's--where the big money is!My girlfriend put this in perspective when she pointed out I lose far too often to be a cheater. Thanks for the "support," hon!
