book needed for 'shorthand' play

Am a small low limit player, there is heaps of info out there for standard starting hands, pre and post flop play for 10 players, but very little for shorthand (five or six)Yours truly smells an opportunity or threei) Most people dont know how to play itii) Most people cant find out how to play it, if they can be bothered to tryiii) If I can find out, I can possibly be the shark in the fish tankAnyone help me out with a book, article, or web site that can give me a killer shorthand game?Kindest regards,Paul

If you haven't already I would check out Sklansky' and Malmuth's "Hold 'em for Advanced Players." I've found the concepts in it to be very beneficial to my limit game. It also covers many of the table situations,including short-handed play, that you can expect to run into.

IMHO shorthanded play can't be taught or learnt from a book. I found that the books didn't imrpove my shorthanded play nearly as much as logging lots of hours at short handed tables.

^^One of the best pieces of advice there is. A lot of strategic play goes out the window when it comes to short handed, because crap hands like an A-6 or 5-5 become more powerful the fewer players there are. You're best bet is to log hours of shorthanded play.
