Hi, I play online at both Party Poker and Empire Poker but really only play in the SnG NL hold'em tables. Well, those are the tables I really prefer. Unfortunately, at least for me, the swings are huge - at times I'll win 4 SnG tables in a row and at other times I'll place maybe 4th in 3 or 4 in a row (just out of the money). My main question then is what a good bankroll is for each level of SnG ($10/1, $20/2, $50/5, etc...) I try to keep enough money for about 10-15 SnG games. Also, if anyone has any strategy for these SnG tables I'd like to hear it. But most of all, I need to overcome the urge to play at games too high for my bankroll. Any advice there is welcome too :D Thanks!

I started playing on line for cash just this week. Made a small deposit(real small). And im trying to find the right game. I have found that the Sit in go limit hold em games on Party to be pretty easy. I tried out the .25/1 limt games and found them to be too crazy, every one calls everything. So i was down to my last 20 bucks and played these sitngos and im well over where i started now. I would be intereseted in hearingif you play these too. later. hope this helps.

hey, im also on party poker my bankroll isn't as impressive as yours probably. i just play the 5+1 sit and goes, and seem to have the same problem as you ill win a few in a row, get up to $70, then down to $15 and so on. with all these big swings it seems like im always "on the respirator" so to speak. i dont play limit but if the limit SnG's are as easy as you make them sound mabey i could use them to build my bankroll??? mabey us party poker guys could get together and plays some cheap SnG's together someitme? i'll post about the idea in a new thread and see if people are interested??

yeah i have found the limit sng's fairly easy. I think at party , the 800 they start you with in tournys is too small, espcecially in no limit. in the limt tournys you can just sit there and play tight and let the morns knock each other out and and the next thing you know, your competeting for the money. its worked ok for me so far, trying to be a little more consistent.

If you play $50/5 sngs or above, the chips start out at 1000. I think the higher buy in sngs are more stable than the $5/1 and $10/1 sngs for the reason that people just play more logically at higher tables. But even still, the swings are pretty big so I was just wondering what a typical bankroll is and any other tips. Thanks!
