Seat 5 was playing just about everything on 3rd.Looking now, 4th should've been an easy fold. At the time, with a seven dead,I thought he might just have the two sevens and was taking a cheap stab at the pot with the single bet. But even so, the pot was tiny and I was still behind.I bet 5th to try to get it heads up and get a free river; I would have folded to a raise.Anyway, I was surprised by his river check, so I took a stab. Then you go to da box for 2 minutes by yourself, you feel shame... then you get free.

4th was definitely an easy fold, I'm surprised you saw the hand down to the river. I don't know about the bluff on the river, but it might work there, usually not though. In stud, there's a lot of check-calling type situations so you need to be pretty certain your opponent is capable of laying down a hand that has your board beat.

First of all, I know nothing about stud except what I've read in a couple books, no actual experience... But I have an idea ;-) ...I think you are better off bluffing the river had you bet on 6th street. Checking 6th street, if I'm holding the 7's, I pretty much think that there's almost no way you have the trip fours. So when I get the free card with my 7's and see the river, I won't feel too bad check calling a bet on the river, getting 5-1 on my call, knowing you either have two pair or a bluff, but ruling out trips? Does that sound logical at all?
