he checked and called the flophe lead out on the turnmayber just a 9...likely more. His aggression is minimal..a bet into a rasier is serious for a fish.

I still think you should raise the turn. If you get 3-bet, call down. You still have 8 outs to beat 2 pair.

look, folding is out of the question. you realize that, right?when that fish bets, you know you're beat. what's the most likely hand, though? that's right, two pair. you have 12 outs to beat two pair (count your 4 gutshot outs).when you wiff the river, you should still be calling. more than 6-to-1 isn't terrible when you're even slightly in doubt.you're really overthinking yourself. you played this perfectly.aseem

by the way, raising the turn isn't bad _if_ you know:1. he will just call with a better hand most of the time, NOT three-bet.2. he will check to you on the river after calling the turn raise most of the time, NOT pull a stop-and-go.this way, you can check behind when you miss the river (board doesn't pair, you don't hit a set, and you don't hit your gutshot). the times you hit, though, you can get in an extra bet.if he's really damn passive and never checkraises, it works even better since you can bet any river that pairs the board. if he's not quite that passive, though, you should check most rivers and only bet when you hit a set or your gutshot.aseem

yeah..I was exaggerating when I said I should've folded. So , Aseem, you're ok with the call down..as one decent line ?cool.I just thought everyone would auotmatically say raise...but it wasn't to me.I usually think set..but you're right, he had two pair . He called my pf raise, HU, with 93o. Given that's its 2 pair (and usually is, I hear)..I need to keep in mind the outs still available. Some reason, this usually escapes me with a Pocket pair and I think only of two outs.I may try rasie trun to get free showdown next time with someone so passive.
