econ_tim 0
UB $0.01/$0.02 PLO8wattsmit is BB with: 3c Qh 9h JsPre-flop:UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 1 fold, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, wattsmit checks.Flop: ($0.14) (board: 8s Td 7s)SB bets $0.02, wattsmit calls, UTG calls, 2 folds, CO calls, Button calls. Turn: ($0.24) (board: 8s Td 7s 5h)SB bets $0.02, wattsmit raises to $.030, UTG calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls. River: ($1.74) (board: 8s Td 7s 5h 8h)4 checks, Button bets $0.09 and is all-in, 1 fold, wattsmit calls, UTG calls, CO calls.Final pot: $2.10I flop the nut straight with a redraw, but wait until turn to bet. Is the turn good enough to pot it? Now there is a low, but if several people have good lows they can pay me off. Still, I have to dodge spades and 5, 7, 8, or T.
Smasharoo 0
I have to dodge spades and 5, 7, 8, or T.Also splitting with another high and letting a low take half.Straights suck in O8.
econ_tim 0
Also splitting with another high and letting a low take half.Do I split with highs in this situation very often? I know all they need is J9XX. And of course I know a low will take half. I thought I had implied odds if my high held up, since there are lots of callers at the table. I agree with smash, a lot of times you'll get quartered with this hand, even if it holds up.
