I wonder if some people have some thought on this ..I have been playing online a good deal lately and feel like my game is improving .. I mostly play $100 $1+2$ blinds NL on Party Poker ..I win with a good frequency and generally find the play pretty loose ..So, my question is this .. I played a $100+10 sit and go yesterday (to try to assess where my game is) and won easily (when i got to heads up, i had 3/4 of the chips and won heads up in 2 hands) .. This might lead me to believe I am better than I am .. I wonder .. What is a good barometer of assessing where my game is?

Sounds like you are pretty d@mn good or pretty d@mn lucky. How much $$ are you winning per hour playing poker??? Keep track of all your records. This will help you realize how good you are. And like Smash will say, keep playing at this level for a while. You may have been on quite a good luck streak.

I'd say if you move up to the next limit [bankroll permitting] you can generally learn a bit more in terms of where you stand. So if you have the bankroll to hit the $2/4 NL game, and you move up there and kill it there, then you are probably doing pretty well.I usually find when I move up in the limits that I find holes in my game, regardless of profit/loss at the new limit. You just seem to find things that you weren't aware of before at the lower limit.

Well there is this:Phil Ivey might win the first $100 SnG he entered.A retarded donkey might wn the first $100 SnG it entered.Phil would probbably win more ober 1000 SnGsYou may be brilliant. One sit and go win doesn't tell you much, though.
