i was rereading TOP and came across a questionable play....its on page 85 and 86 and Sklansky talks about betting out of turn and then after being reminded that ur out of turn..u pull ur bet back and then just check if they check...now i have always been under the assumption that if u bet its a bet u cant take back? have any of yall ever seen this attempted? seems like a very dirty strategy to use
questionable play in top

In most casinos, out of turn actions aren't binding. Still, doing this play is kinda silly. I think this is in Caro's book of tells.

I used this last Friday, but it kinda backfired on me. There were only two of us in the pot, and after the flop came out I said "I'll bet $10...oh wait, you are supposed to act first..." and my opponent then bet $10. I folded.
