3 days ago i had a pretty big(for me) Mtt place. which was 3rd in a $6 re-buy and got me $1500 for my troubles.now before this win i had a little less than $100 in my account. i was on a down swing in the sng multi-tables which i usually dominate.since my bankroll was sufficenti decided to play higher stakes than my normal $25 and $50 rooms. so i played some $100 rooms. let me tell you my wins have been anything but consistent, and my bankroll has been fluctuating a lot.yes. i do understand it has only been 3 days, i know what variance is.but im not going to be a stuburn idiot and think "its just some variance from moving up in limits it will equal out" when i may be dead wrong, and while waitting for an upswing, i dont want to lose all my money in the process.so im trying to decide if i should withdraw $1000 and leave $500 for my usual games and tournaments. or if i shuold tough it out. or maybe take a break? read soem books and come back swingin?i obviously dont live off poker with the limits i play. and i do have a job with a landscapping company. so im not going to go broke or starve if i dont get this 1k.any and all input is welcome and apprecited.
need some input

I know you want to jump in limits, I went through the same phase.STAY with the $25, $50 games until you, at the very LEAST, double your bankroll before you move up. I started playing $100 games with a $300 bankroll and built it up to 2k. Then I caught a two week drought and had I not dropped in limits I would have gone broke. Work at it until you see consistant results, then move up one day at a time. Just my .02. Good luck.

Take out the 1k, keep it in your savings as part of your BR. Once you prove you can beat $50 consistantly, move to the $100. I would try to build your BR using only money won at the $50 NL table, and not MTT's...

Actually I did assume no limit. Usually that's what I assume if I don't see otherwise because that's all I play. I hope you don't experience a bad run of cards. It sucks and it's tough to rebound from the first time around. Stay confident above all else. Good luck.

im just not sure when the right time would be to move up in limits and let some of the money ride instead of consistently withdrawing.
