myself and 3 of my friends are looking to get a weekly game going. we're in northern california. santa rosa specifically. so, we need at least 4 other people to play. all of us play poker regularly live and online. but we also like playing other games besides hold'em that are hard to find in live games. occasionally they get an omaha game in the cardroom hear us but its so rare. we were thinking of a few different formats: HORSE - just like the tournament at the WSOP.....30 minutes of each hold'em/omaha/razz/stud/stud 8/b H2O - has become popular at the higher limits but almost impossible to find live......30 minutes of each hold'em/2-7 triple draw/omaha (this can be run either limit or or no limit and can be capped per hand....HORSE can be run the same way) HO - just a mix of hold'em and omaha (either high or 8/b and can be limit, pot-limit, or no-limit) if anyone is interested please PM me. stakes haven't been decided but we'd like to have about $50 or $100 per player on the table so its interesting. can either play cash game or tournaments formats as well. if anyone has their own homegame in this area let me as well. we'd love to play.

Faketree,I have a regular game going in San Jose. It used to be on Wednesday nights but I have a hard time getting up the next day, so the game is in the process of moving to saturdays. The format that we like the best is H2O. We play the H and O no/pot limit respectively with blinds of 0.50/$1 and a $50 cap. The 2-7 triple draw is played limit $4/$8 (blinds $1/$2). The buy in is whatever you want but standard is $100. I know SJ is quite a ways from Rosa, but maybe we can get something going. Currently I have a list of maybe 15 regular players, although I can only fit 11 of them around the table at once. You can email me at wbrenckle@nvidia.com if you want to know more info. Grimlock

Just wondering where Street Spirit, CA is? I also live in San Jose.Right now, I'm a hold 'em specialist so I'm afraid this H2O stuff is over my head. :-) But, certainly if you guys ever wanted to get together at a bar and dicuss poker strategy, I would be game. Kinda like the Wednesday Poker Discussion Group they have in Vegas. Everyone I know is... well lets just say, not very good at poker.
