Hand 1: Nice hand. If it doesn't get 3-bet PF, are you leading out on the flop?Hand 2:Did you consider raising on the flop? People with top pair are likely to call, and probably won't put you on a flush until it's too late. Q :D and maybe even J :) could call you down until the end. I think you'll get at least one cold call for the LAG cutoff or donkish button who raised PF. It may even get 3 bet. This could also help build a bigger pot early, that makes it harder for you opponents to get away from down the line. That being said, going for overcalls on the flop is OK too, and probably how I play it. I just wanted to throw out a different line.I would really like to see a raise before the river. If you call the flop, you have to raise the turn IMO. You are only going for two overcalls, and you have to charge the flush draws who are drawing dead before they miss on the river. Most of the time, a player who is willing to call for 1BB here, will grudgingly call for 2BB as well.

I think you played the first hand just fine.On the second, I'd consider raising the turn. Naked Khi or Qhi flush draws might tag along, and you wanna be able to get value out of that draw, as they're likely to fold the river. You probably lose a little value by waiting until the river to raise. A house is going to come back anyway, and you might get extra action from a lower flush or trips. But it's probably so close as to be almost negligible with two players behind you. Ice

I usually do in situations like that.

Well, the king's out there already. If the board showed lower spades, I'd be inclined to agree in trying to get the king or queen to tag along for more. I feel like a lower flush is going to raise this most of the time. When the board pairs on the turn, throwing in a raise makes it look like I hit the boat. I think that would've been a bit scary to cold call. If I'm in late position or if the field is bigger, I would've raised. I really wanted those overcalls though.
