Bet. If he had something like K9 or K5 or 95 you now beat him. If he check/raises you, well you have to call I think but you're more than likely beat. Lots of hands call you here that you can beat.

as an actuary I should love this game..and I do.I just need the guts to make the right bets my brain tells me to.That second 7 scared me, as I thought quite possible thats what she's playing.

You, uh, need to stop thinking that matters. She could POSSIBLY have enough hands to make this an impossibly easy river bet.Ice

she slowed down on the river...to me thats tellin me she had an over card that didnt hit...i see it all the time where they try to bet u out then check it when they dont hit...theres has to be decent value in that bet

generally I post the ones I feel I screwed up...so good, it's confirmed.and I just happend to have back to back hands with river bet decisions.this would be a sizable leak if it was my normal play, but it's not.

That 7 more than likely helped you, if anything.

bet...............1. you have the best two pair possible now. even if she improved to two pair with K-9 on the turn, you beat her.2. flush draw missed. she might have a pair to go with it (a pair of 7's isn't possible since that was part of the flush draw... she might have 9-x of diamonds of K-x of diamonds) so you can get another bet out of her.3. bayes theorem! read that section on value betting the river again. when an opponent checks, it's more likely that they AREN'T good. when you're out of position, check-calling might be alright (not in this hand, but in other hands), but when you're in position and a non-tricky opponent checks, it's usually correct to value bet more.aseem
