since everyone always wants to talk about beats that happened to them, I think that we should all relate some beats we've put on people. I was playing in a tourny with rebuys so I was playing really fast. THe table was six handed so I raised from the cutoff with K7o and my friend called with Q10s from the small blind, obvioulsy the button folded. The flop comes down K J 9 rainbow. he bets out a small bit and I move in(I normally woldn't do that or even play with this hand) and he quickly calls and shows the nut straight he flopped. Well I proceded to hit running sevens to fill up and knock him out in the second hand of the tournament and he didn't have ant money to buy back in

Like you my most memorable was also against a friend - amazing how often that happens, or perhaps we just remember those times more so that we can keep reminding them. He went all in pre-flop with K :) K :club: and I called him with Q :D 10 :) (yeah I know - but they were soooooted  )Flop comes down A :club: K :club: J :club: Turn comes Q :D At this point I suddenly realise he has something like 18 outs (any spade, A, K, Q, J or 10) AND the chance of a Royal Flush.Fortunately the river is a blank and I scoop the pot :club:
If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

I give one bad beat for every 1,347 that I take, but here is one I gave.I was at the Bike, 100 dollar buy in NL hold em ring game, and I had a pair of tens. I raied about 12 dollars and got one caller. the flop comes K, 3, 6, rainbow. he checks to me, and I am suspcious but I bet about 10 bucks to see where he is at and he calls. I start to think he has A/K or K/Q.turn comes a 10, woo hoo, joker for me.before I can even process this, he moves in, and I immediately call.He flips over KK, and I'm just about to walk away w hen a 10 crashes down on the river.he was really cool about it. I'm like, "I got lucky that time" and he was an old man and just shrugged it off like, "That's ok, I don't tilt from stuf like that, it happens."

Ok. Anyone who plays a lot of sit and go's can definitely spin out a lotta these stories. Most SnGers can tell you about 1 card flushes. One card straights, how their A-8 beat Someones JJ when the board Double paired with KK and QQ. Naturally, these are not honorable or reliable ways to win, but they DO happen and when they do, I'm not unhappy. Here's just a couple.4 handed $20 single table tourneyment at partypoker.Blinds 100-200My stack 2000Small Blind 1000Button 3000Under the gun 2000Button raises to 600.Small Blind pushes all in.I see JJ, and I push so I can isolate Small BlindButton Calls and Reveals AA.Small Blind Calls and Reveals AK.The flop comes A-x-J-J-x  Another one Came when I hit a set with JJ on an unco-ordinated rainbow flop. Two guys with Overpairs (both KK) pushed in only to be drawing dead :D Thats not really a bad beat story, but it certainly sucked for them.

i also called a small stacks all in for kicks last night with 9 3 off... playing .25 /.50 NL... and he keeps buying in for 5 bucks.. its really annoying because i have something like 170 and want some high stacks to pay me off on my good hands... figured this was a good way to advertise....he raises all in first pos for 5folds around....i go into the tank.... decide i must police the situationi call... flop has a 3 in it and i know im ahead... .river is a 9 and it seals the deal... he only had A 10, but still.... i couldnt stop laughing

Here's one I administered at Commerce. 2/4 GameMe - BB 4d5sGuy1 - AKdGuy 2- QJdI call the extra two after Guy 1 Raises. (I had a couple rushes that night. I might as well call and maybe I'll see something good)FLOP2d 6d 5cI check, betting ensues. I call.Turn3dGuy 1 and guy 2 are betting and I just call. At this point I don't know what the hell I'm thinking. But I just call becaue I felt I had a pretty good read on the guys. I didn't. Both of these guys already made their flushes. Guy 1 is going crazy since he has what he thinks is the nuts. At this point, I DIDN'T even know i was drawing for a straight flushRiver - 5dOne 1 bet is made on the river and i call because I thought I had a very low flush. NOT THE STRAIGHT FLUSH!!! Guy 1 and 2 show their flush, guy 2 mucks, and turn my cards over dissapointed. Dealer is about to muck my cards when another player calls out that I have a striaght flush. Suffice it to say, that guy was pissed that I had misread my hand and took down a sizeable pot. HAHA..After that fiasco, I pay extra close attention to my hands.

I dunno if it really counts as a bad beat, but it was a fun hand. 2/4 game at my local casino, fairly passive table, so a bunch of people call pre-flop with no raises. I'm on the small blind in seat 1, and complete the bet with a hand I'd normally junk just because of the pot odds.Flop comes 555, which causes a stir. I check, it gets checked to the number 4 seat who bets. Seats 6, 9 and 10 call, so do I, big blind folds. Turn is a queen, it again gets checked to seat 4 who bets. This time seat 6 raises, 9 folds, 10 calls, I call, seat 4 calls. Big blind remarks "lot of fives in this deck" and I say "yeah, you can't trust poker players." River is an Ace, and I check. Seat 4 bets, 6 folds, 10 calls, I raise. Seat 4 calls. Seat 10 looks over at me, tosses his chips in, and says "OK, show me the quads", so I turn over my T5o. The big blind nearly busts a gut laughing. So not really a classic bad beat since I had the nuts from the flop, but I'm sure I busted at least one full house, maybe two. Not too shabby for a small blind special.

I was playing in a sit and go and had QJ :D preflop and there were no raises with 4 people in. Flop comes J73 I bet out about a pot sized bet and two fold and the other player moves all in. I think for a while and remember that this player had bluffed me off a few huge pots (or so I thought) so I called. He shows 77. Oh no! I'm dead! Turn comes J, big deal gives me trips, gives him a full house.... river gives the fourth J and gives me quads! Lucky for me I ended up winning the tourney.
