Is anyone else watching the WPT and looking at the TV in confusion right now? What the hell is Mike Sexton talking about?Seriously... fast food guy Vinny thought Daniel was a hamburger... put him on the grill... and flipped him over...Good god Mike, when you realized in the middle of that 'analogy' what you were saying, you should've just stopped and said, "I want to apologize immediately to the poker community for the random shit I say. The last thing I about said would've been near the worst. Again, my apologies."
Matusow: Yeah, I'll introduce everyone. Overrated donkey, Internet donkey, tournament donkey, and Andy Bloch.
Jack: Thank you for the update, Mike.
Matusow: You're very welcome.

He's definitely the Dan Rather of the poker world...always making these weird southern analogies that end up making no sense.

I mean whos better howard lederer "well hes just made a professional move there" boring boring boring or chris rose on poker superstars"thats the difference between the great players and all the others they no what to do with the j8 off'" these guys are simply terrible.. mike sexton is the class of all the others ya he does say crazy things but at least its entertaining....down with the critical online poker wizards u guys are halarious how everyone is so bad and you guys are so great.

HAHA no.Howard Lederer is by far the best analyst on TV. By far. So much so that other poker players were upset, thinking that he was giving away too many trade secrets. You could make the argument that he is boring if you don't play poker and don't care, but I'm assuming you play poker, in which case I can't understand how you don't love Lederer as an analyzt. Similar to how Hubie Brown added so much to the NBA finals this year. A coach (a good coach) doing analysis is great. Mike Sexton is alright. He's fine. He's better than many. I'll give him a 2nd place. This isn't even the point of this post. The point is that he says retarded things at times.

Vince and Mike are good for entertainment value, and they know poker as well -- but I'd still rather listen to Howard any day. I don't find it boring at all. Howard actually provides insight to what the players are thinking (WPT will never do that because it will alienate the casual player/viewer). Seriously though... Daniel is a hamburger?

hm...bill walton and hubie brown commentating the next WPT? Hubie: and look at this Bill, he's picked up pocket aces...he's going to try to slowplay this to get a little bit more money out of him...it's a good strategy but it tends to backfire occasionally. It has tremendous upside!Bill: And yes, my hair is aflame!

I hate the WPT announcements... Whenever I hear that guy talk I feel great that I'm not from the South. The worst thing that gets on my nerves the most is when two players are all in and they pause before they deal the next card, that guy goes..."Hasan has to catch an 8 or a King on the river or he will be eliminated from the tournament, CAN HE DO IT??""Can he do it?" -- over and over again it's so annoying when he says that. First of all once all the money is in he can't do anything but watch. It's not like if he has extra strength and endurance he can make the card change to one of his outs.I actually like the WSOP dude, he makes fun of himself and he's entertaining. Lederer is great, but poker on TV doesn't need a comentator explaining in depth what's happening and the strategy. Lederer is one of my favorite players actually and I think he's perfect for any live broadcast like that Turning Stone tourney because the action wasn't fast and furious like the highlight shows that the WSOP and WPT are.The WPT guy is the worst though. He just shouts in his Southern drawl and it's so ****ing annoying.
