Hold_Em 0
I don't play a ton of limit but am starting to get into it playing .25 .50 and .50 1 tables.I had a question about playing small and medium pairs pre flop. Is raising the best option or is it just limp calling. from the experience ive had ive found that raising is pretty worthless except build a pot if you hit a set. Just looking for suggestions. akishore 0
wow, terrible advice.22-66: speculative pairs, you need to hit a set. limp in any position.77-99: speculative multiway, but strong hands short-handed or heads-up with weak players. limp in EP/MP/LP if the pot is multiway, but you can raise in LP if first in or if only one limper (to isolate). mostly in small stakes, though, you're playing these to hit a set.if you're three-betting 2-2 to isolate, eddie, i want to join your table.aseem

jeff_536 3
at those levels, even pairs up to 99 should be limped with. Maybe raise 99 from co or button. So many people play Ax or Kx that unless you hit your set, you're almost always folding when decent overcards hit.
Steppin Razor 0
Depends on the table, your position, and the situation. Lots of loose callers in LL, so raising w/medium pairs is often a waste. But, if it's folded to you, bring it in with a raise, unless you have 55 or lower (then just fold) and are out of position. Most times, I'll limp with 10s-8s, and fold the small pairs on the loose tables.
