Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is MP3 with [9h], [9c]. UTG raises.Flop: (7.50 SB) [6h], [4s], [7h] (3 players)UTG checks, MP2 bets, UTG calls.Turn: (8.25 BB) [5c] (2 players)UTG bets, Hero calls.River: (10.25 BB) [8h] (2 players)UTG bets, Hero calls.Final Pot: 16.25 BBI've just finished reading SSHE, and I try to follow the preflop chart recommendations. I realized I made a mistake calling here with 99, I remembered it as play AA-99 against a raise when in fact it is AA-1010. Flop- It's rare that I see a player check-raise with a big pp in this situation, so I wasn't really sure what was up. Also strange to 3-bet a flush draw here(I think). Bad idea to cap?Turn- After he leads out I'm thinking he has an big PP so I call.River- Great card, now I can beat his pair. There's no reason for him to lead out when he's playing the board, but I figure there's a good chance he just did this reflexively or misread the board, so I decide to raise. Good or bad idea? He 3-bets and I'm worried about the flush.

Cold calling with nines isn't bad. Reraising would be OK too.

Just call the 3-bet.

If he has a higher PP, you have 6 outs so you're not getting pot odds. Figure out how often he should not be ahead for you to call here.

Easy raise. Hands that he could sensibly have that beat you are AhKh and AhQh. The hands that he could have that don't beat you are AA-TT. But just call the three bet.

That's right. Easy call. Guess I was tired.

Thanks for the responses, looks like capping the flop was a mistake. He turned over AA and I took down the pot.One follow up question- let's say the turn came the 2c taking away my gutshot. Should I fold to the bet on the turn? Or call just in case he has a flush draw and fold if he leads out again on the river?

Cold calling with nines isn't bad. Reraising would be OK too.folding too. Doesn't really matter too much.Being three handed for tweo bets with 99 iusn't exactly what you're looking for with 20 overcards to dodge on the flop. The flop cap sucks.
